Overview

The United Nations declared 2024-2033 as the International Decade of Science for Sustainable Development with the principal aim of finding solutions to global challenges, including the effects of climate change. As climate crisis deepens its grip, the urgent need for scalable solutions continues to be inevitable. This is where the development of sustainable engineering and science informed solutions for the built and the natural environments plays the pivotal role in supporting the UN agenda towards sustainability and resilience. Even though the scale of the global challenge is quite enormous, the research outputs and policy frameworks in areas that are central to addressing these critical challenges remain marginal.

The 2026 International Conference on Engineering and Built Environment for Sustainability and Resilience (ICEBE-SR’26) is aimed to be a powerful platform for knowledge sharing and action determination and will expand through the cross-disciplinary paths to discuss the emerging and pertinent issues relating to research and innovations, training, best practices and policy formulations and frameworks in Engineering and Built Environment.

The three-day event will feature keynote addresses by renowned experts, technical sessions and workshops covering a wide range of topics on the developments and advancements in sustainable and smart systems and technologies, green computing, renewable energy, smart cities, sustainable manufacturing, climate change adaptation, and many more themes. ICEBE-SR’26 thus provides opportunities for the engineering and built environment professionals, economists, social scientists, corporate executives, policy makers, government officials, academics and practitioners to meet one another and establish networks for research and scientific exchange and technical cooperation.

Accepted papers from ICEBE-SR26 will be published as proceedings in an indexed outlet, giving your scientific and technological research and solutions a global visibility. You are highly invited to be part of the global effort in driving sustainability and resilience to the next level.
