Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

The presentations should be in a form of a paper.  There will also be some panel presentations and discussions. Opportunities for poster presentations and displays would be provided.  All papers will be peer-reviewed or blind reviewed.  The submission will be through an electronic version using Microsoft word.  Maximum two (2) abstracts would be accepted per individual

Format of Abstracts

An abstract of between 250-300 words, aligned to the theme and subtheme, typed in single space, Times New Roman, Font size 12 should be submitted to the editorial team.  The abstract should have not be more than six key words.  Once the abstracts are accepted the authors would be notified accordingly to submit a full paper which would after acceptance be published in the conference proceedings.  The organising committee is exploring possibilities of publishing outstanding papers in some international journal publishing houses (E.g. Journal of Business Ethics and other professional journals) after the conference.  These would be special editions.  A clear identification of the track and the sub-themes should be made against which the abstract is submitted.

A summary of author(s) details (name, institution, position and email addresses of author/s).  Abstracts should be electronically sent to the following emails molwaneob@ub.ac.bw, mary.kasule@mopipi.ub.bw and kenneth.kavuna@mopipi.ub.bw latest by 30th April 2019 midnight.  The name of the corresponding author should be marked by asterisk superscript (*) together with the emails.

Length of Presentations: The presentation should be in English. Each presentation will be 30  minutes; 20 (15) minutes for presentation and 10 (5) minutes for questions and comments.

Notes to Authors on the submission of manuscripts

a)      Articles must between 2500 and 5000 words. Shorter articles will be considered on the merits of their strength.

b)      All and only the references cited in the article must appear at the end of the article under the subheading ‘References’. Such references must strictly follow the latest American Psychological Association (APA) citation style for both in-text referencing and list of references. For example:

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., https://www.ub.bw) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point Times New Roman font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.
  7. If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.
